We are professional Montana photographers specializing in Montana weddings, Montana elopements, and portrait photography across this marvelous state we're blessed to call home. We're local to Montana and know all of her secrets, and work hard to conserve her beauty. First and foremost, we promise to be real humans. To be present. To be kind. To take excellent care of you and yours. Real life is wild and beautiful. And that's why we do what we do - we want to capture your abundant, radiant real experience and spark a bit joy while we're at it. It's so wonderful to meet you! My team and I are storytellers, artists & adventurers with a penchant for laughter, good light, better jokes & wide open spaces. I've been a professional wedding, elopement & portrait photographer here in Montana for over 14 years after graduating from the famed Rocky Mountain School of Photography. I've had the great honor & joy of capturing hundreds of stories in our timeless, authentic style and have met some of the most incredible humans during my career. Blessed is an understatement.
As a staunch lover of nature and our wildly beautiful wide open spaces here in Big Sky Country, I co-founded Public Land Creatives, an incredible non-profit that advocates for equal access for photographers & filmmakers to our public lands and promotes the use of ethical practices while creating and recreating in our nation’s wild spaces. We also work with state & federal land offices to keep ceremonies in these places accessible for the public and safe for the lands. Win win!

Origin Story
I was always a sensitive, soulful little girl. I spent whole afternoons content just watching the sun filter through the trees. Lost endless hours happily studying the worlds within worlds inside every cloud & flower petal. Lived a thousand lifetimes mesmerized by the stars at night. I would sneak out on our roof and watch the country days roll by (my poor mother!), writing little poems about everything I could see, feeling God right beside me. My world was magical, breathtaking, alive (what a gift!). So when I turned 7 and my big brother gave me my very first camera - a sturdy, submersible yellow brick of film & flash, it transformed my life. Finally, a tangible way to capture the beauty around me. I was tearing down dusty country roads on my sparkly pink bicycle, camera in hand every day that summer.
That abiding love for photography was further cultivated by the guidance of a kind & patient father-figure in my life who was a photographer himself (God's so funny). He gifted me with professional equipment & humored my endless inquisition (thank you, Chris Flood!). With the support of many, I took a wild chance & attended the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in 2010, where that lifelong passion transformed into Lovelight. Light is so transformative & emotive - I simply love really good light! We've been documenting sun drenched love stories and life stories in Montana & across the country ever since. And it sure makes my heart happy to still be spending my days capturing all of the beauty I see in the people I meet & the places I go! I sure hope I've done right by that starry eyed little girl I used to be. XOXO

We're real people - we're grounded, down to earth humans. Our focus is always your experience first and your photos, second. But don't worry, those will be beautiful, too. Our photography style is rooted in beautifully lit, emotive, documentary style storytelling with the core belief that candid, real life minutes and unposed moments are what make the most authentic, joyful memories ... and the most incredible imagery. We want our clients to actually have amazing experiences while capturing those memories.

Our focus is to create gorgeous, timeless art and memories through intentional light craft, real connection, tailored experiences and deliberate attention to detail. Because we pour ourselves into each project, we only take a limited number of events annually to ensure that we can truly give our clients the attention and care they deserve.

Life doesn't happen in a vacuum and neither do wedding days or sessions. True beauty lives in the perfectly imperfect moments that make up the lion share of our minutes & our memories as we make our way on this unruly planet. We aren't striving for perfection in people or projects, we want to capture real life in all of it's perfectly imperfect glory.

WOW I do not even know where to begin to describe our incredible experience with Jessica. An elopement was never part of our plans but one look at her photos made us fall in love. Having never been to Glacier, Jessica expertly guided us through the whole process and made sure to think of every detail (down to the extra bobby pins for the winds!). We only met Jessica in person the day of our wedding, but she instantly made us feel comfortable with her kindness and contagious energy. Our day was filled with constant laughter and joy as if we were long time friends. The whole experience was out of this world, and I am constantly looking back at our photos to believe that it was real. Thank you so much Jessica for making it an unforgettable day.
