Take a beautiful peek at this wild weathered Glacier Park Elopement on the East side. It was few years ago now that Melanie first reached out to me about her dreams of coming home to Montana and getting married in a place etched forever in her heart & on land sacred to her people. When they settled on an elopement focused in St Mary, we were thrilled! So on a wild September afternoon, we met gorgeous Melanie, her beloved (& quite dapper) Andrew, and their closest family & friends in the sparkling shores of St Mary Lake or Natoaki (which means Holy Woman in Blackfeet) and that she was on this incredibly beautiful, wild day! We had every kind of weather for these two and they braved the wild, chilly, autumn winds of one stormy St Mary with aplomb and tenacity. We adventured through Logan and back out to the endless, golden, sunshine of the East side where we captured the most beautifully sunswept, ethereal images of the season! It was a magical day!

I had envisioned having an elopement in Glacier for years after having grown up there, and was blessed to work with Lovelight Photography. Not only did she excel in elopement planning (read: I desperately needed help on the planning end), she brought an expert level of insight into the adventure that even us east side locals couldn't have come up with. We got every weather but snow on our special day, and somehow Lovelight still made me feel like a queen, encouraged our just-married-bliss, outsmarted the invigorating Glacier wind, and found all the best lighting. On top of all that our photos turned out spectacularly perfect. We are still getting compliments about them months later, and I know we'll look back on them in our old age and still be obsessed.
WHAT MADE IT MAGICAL?
Melanie and Andrew had their family and friends whisked away on tour busses (with the incredible Sun Tours) so that everyone could enjoy the Park and make amazing memories while we adventured around capturing their couples portraits. We kept running into the fam at random turns and it was so silly & fun!
